Where the hell did this month go?
So- Went to the county farm fair. Burlington County is #1 in Farm Preservation. I don't know if this is in the country or in the state- but it's pretty cool, though a lot of old timers say it's going really downhill. This guy was talking about how 225 cows used to come for judging and now it's like 25. There was a Republican tent and a Democrat tent. I don't know what people at the farm fair were doing at the Republican tent- like what the hell are you going to do for farmers besides making it harder for them to live on their farms and work?! I meant a man running for Freeholder. I don't really understand what that is- but he was very nice.
So Becca walks over to this demonstration on cooking food without using water. (I don't know what the big deal is- people have used water to cook for centuries and water is good for you, but whatever) Well and she's talking to the guy who is like- just sit down and the demo only takes three minutes. And Becca doesn't really want to sit down, she just wants him to tell her what the hell the product he is selling is. And then I walk over and he goes- are you two over 18? And Becca looks at me with a smirk because she thinks it's real funny that people think I'm 16 all the time and I kind of look at her because this is an easy out- I mean we could just walk away, but she says she's 18 so I do too, but either because of the shared look we had or whatever- the guy totally doesn't believe us. So he starts explaining why he can't show us his demo if we're under 18 (there are a lot of sharp and hot things involved) and he says look- if you are 18 sit down and stay, but if you're not I'll have to ask you to leave. HA! So- we stood there for a minute and he was kind of annoyed by this I think- because he really needed us to be over 18 I guess and he didn't continue with the demo, so then I just walk away. Anyway Becca followed me a few minutes later, and then when we were walking thru the tent with my mother and grandmother we saw the area and the guy was sitting one booth over- anyway I pretended like I didn't recognize him as we walked past and started yelling- See Mom! that's where that guy was really mean to us! Well maybe not yelling...
But the farm fair was fun- both times. Today I did get to see someone spinning! She explained as she want along and we talked about goat wool vs sheep wool. very cool! Oh and I saw a sheep being sheared. We saw one on Wednesday but they were off to the side in the sheep tent and very cooperative, but this was more like sheep wrestling-
Ok- so I haven't heard back from ANYONE- I guess I'm just hitting up coffeeshops. Well, it could be a lot worse, I guess. I'm tired of applying for jobs and tired of not getting e-mails back. Boo job searching.
So- I had an ex-boyfriend sighting today. Not the ex, but Wayne, the softer cuddlier ex-boyfriend. He saw me- and was with his new girlfriend. (Well not new- they've been dating for awhile, I guess. And you know what, it really was one of the best handlings of old girlfriend meets new girlfriend I've ever seen in a guy. He saw me- said Hi! I saw him- said that he looked really old! (nicely built now and with a beard! HA) And his girlfriend like- tried to take off letting him have space I guess so he could talk to me and it wouldn't be weird and awful, but he said- no wait - This is Lindsey, my exgirlfriend, this is Candace my current girlfriend. And then gave us interesting things about each other to strike up conversation. Lindsey How is school? Oh you went for theatre right? Candace is going to school for theatre. Very mature and he was all smiles. It was a little awkward when he told me that I had tainted him forever to date band/ theatre geeks. And then he was like- So I think we're gonna get going. It was good to see him and GREAT to see him so happy. I guess he's not in love with me anymore. sigh.
- oh and I think his mom there with him, but I wasn't really sure and then she didn't say anything and we really only meant once or twice and it was weird because I was 17 and totally made out with him in his room when she was downstairs-
yeah. good day. good week really.
HOORAY FOR HOBOKEN TOMORROW!!
oh on a slightly sadder note I did see some people from church. (People who were like- the teens when I was like pre-teen so only 4-5 years older then myself and they all had kids- like all of htem and they were older kids. EEp. And they didn't talk to me- kind of shunned me. sigh oh well
and I saw a girl from highschool who I didn't want to talk to and like RAN away before she saw me. I seriously like- RAN, not even on purpose really just saw her and fled. oops
